meeting together – moving in one direction
Diverse people, stories and lands will converge on 22, 23 and 24 May to invigorate the powerful and connected voice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander media and set the future direction of our sector. Have your say! Contribute to sector policy development and planning, establish industry development working groups, launch the new national peak body and attend the IRCA General Meeting.
REGISTRATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED.
The summit will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Mbantua (Alice Springs). Our Monday night Opening Ceremony, lead by local Elder Kumalie Riley, will welcome all delegates to celebrate the rich culture of Eastern and Central Arrernte. Our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander media history and pioneers will be acknowledged and celebrated. On Tuesday night IRCA will host the Converge Dinner for all delegates, a great opportunity to connect and network with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander media workers from across Australia.
For those wishing to book their accommodation with the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, they are providing a 10% discount on their best rates for all delegates, subject to availability of the Hotel. To access the Convention Discount click here, or if booking by phone be sure to mention “Convention Discount” or the code GCONA. To enjoy their complimentary standard WIFI in the rooms, delegates can sign up to Hilton Honors Loyalty Program free of charge.
Travel subsidies are available to IRCA Ordinary and Associate Members. These subsidies are limited and intended for those most in need of support to attend CONVERGE. For member organisations, the subsidy of up to $1,000 will be available to support one Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representative to attend.
